Your first note
What to tell us
Eight things, in any order. With these I can tell you in one reply whether your van suits the shop and roughly where the price will land.
- Van make and year Full size high roof panel vans, 2015 or newer. No buses, box trucks, low roofs or motorhomes.
- Wheelbase 144 or 170 inch. It sets more of the price than anything else.
- Mileage Under 150,000 miles. A van with a good service history beats a newer one without.
- How many of you It decides the bed width, the seating and how many drawers we can fit.
- Any dogs Size and habits, please. Juniper inspects every bed platform, so she likes to know who it is for.
- Your longest trip A long weekend and four months on the road are different vans.
- The season you travel in Winter travel decides whether you want the diesel heater under the floor and a bigger battery bank.
- Your rough budget A range is fine. Every price we charge is on the costs page.
A photo of the empty van, taken from the back doors with them wide open, helps more than anything else you can send. I can read the wheel arches, the floor and the bulkhead from it before we ever talk.

Where
Bend, Oregon, in Central Oregon
Two bays and a bench room on the dry side of the Cascades. Shop visits are by appointment, and we send the details once a visit is booked, so the door is open and the coffee is on when you arrive.
You bring the van to Bend and you collect it from Bend. If you fly in for handover, Redmond airport is 20 minutes north and one of us will meet you there.

Winter closure
Closed December 20 to January 6
We shut the shop from December 20 to January 6, every year. Teo drives home to Albuquerque, Juniper and I go looking for snow that isn't on my own driveway, and the vans sit under their covers.
Write to us anyway. I'll answer everything that came in during the first week of January, in the order it arrived.
